TSA and the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP)
The implementing of the Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 requires that TSA develop a system to screen 100% of cargo transported on passenger aircraft by August 3, 2010, with an interim requirement to screen 50% of such cargo by February 3, 2009. The Certified Cargo Screening Program invites integral members of the trade community to join this program in order to alleviate bottlenecks at the airport as the airlines do not have the space and manpower to handle the screening for the entire trade.
This program allows TSA to ensure that each member has proper training for the screening of the cargo to the box level, commensurate to passenger baggage currently screened by TSA. World Wise has been assisting clients with this program and can help with the training required by TSA. In addition, World Wise has knowledge of all the TSA approved equipment and can guide anyone who has any questions.
If you ship by air on passenger aircraft, you need to find out more about the program. Your cargo will be delayed if you are not prepared. “Just in Time” shipments have a critical schedule. Don’t let the screening requirement affect your company because of a lack of information.
Become a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) and be in charge of your screening so that you can get fast track to the loading of your cargo on passenger airlines. Be in complete control of your bottom line.
